Tour Waqrapukara full day trekking tour is located south of Cusco in the province of Acomayo, built on top of a steep mountain, where few tourists dare to make this trekking. This archaeological center is a mixture of pre-Inca construction by the Qanchi ethnic group and Inca in the Wayna Qapaq period.
Waqrapukara is located at 4300 meters above sea level, in the precipice formed by the Apurimac River, by its shape is considered to be a fortress, built in the shape of a llama’s head.

Itinerary
Day: 01 Tour Waqrapukara full day
At 5:30 am, our staff will pass by your hotel to pick up you and board our tourist transportation to transfer us to the road to Acomayo, after 2 hours travel we will arrive at our first stop where a healthy breakfast awaits us.
We will continue the trip for one and then start our trekking to Waqrapukara, we will hike for 3 hours to reach the archaeological center of Waqrapukara, where we can enjoy a unique landscape surrounding the canyon of the Apurimac. After our visit we can have lunch and continue our walk back to where our bus is to travel back to the city of Cusco.
Keep in mind that this journey is heavy for which you must have a good physical condition and have been acclimatized for at least 2 days in Cusco.
