Itinerary

Day: 01 Cusco - abra Malaga - Santa Maria (BIKING Y RAFTING)

After receiving our tour guide’s directions a day before, we start the big day of the tour at 6:00 – 7:00 in the morning by picking you up from your accommodation to start our tourist transport to the Sacred Valley of the Incas route take, we will drive through beautiful landscapes leading to this beautiful valley to reach Ollantaytambo.

In Ollantaytambo after a short rest we will start our journey to Abra Malaga (4350m / 14271m) where we will prepare for our first big adventure in the high jungle of Cusco.

Our guide reminds us of the safety precautions we must take and the indications of the route we will follow. Then he gives us the bike gear and we start the descent on our mountain bikes.

Our tour will be a 60km mountain bike ride that will take us from Abra Malaga to the archaeological site of Huamammarca. Here we will return to the bus until we reach Santa Maria (1430 m) where we can have lunch. In the afternoon we can optionally do a rafting tour on the Rio Blanco and enjoy the beautiful landscape.

Day: 02 Santa Maria -Quellamayo - Santa Teresa

On the second day of our 4-day journey from the Inca Jungle to Machu Picchu, we will start with a high-energy breakfast of jungle products around 4:00 a.m., and then we will begin our 45-minute trek along the original ancient

Inca Trail that connects Machu Picchu to Vilcabamba. After about 3 hours of hiking along a road surrounded by lush forests and beautiful landscapes of banana, coca, coffee and avocado plantations, we arrive at Quellomayo, a nice place to have lunch at one of the local restaurants eat and take a well-deserved break.

After we’ve fueled up, we’ll continue our three and a half hour trek to the Cocalmayo Hot Springs, where we can take an invigorating soak for tired muscles. After a few hours we start our last hike up to Santa Teresa, where we will move into our accommodation.

Day: 03 Santa Teresa - Hydroelectric - Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo)

On this day we will do our last trek to Machu Picchu and finish our 4 days Inca Jungle Trek to Machu Picchu. And the possibility to do zipline.

On the way we pass the village of Mandor and can see the first platforms that surround Machu Picchu and the Hiram Bingham road that leads to the Inca citadel. Upon arrival at Machu Picchu Pueblo we will go to the hotel to rest and at the time indicated by our guide we will have the last dinner and receive our guide’s indications to visit Machu Picchu.

Day: 04 MACHU PICCHU PUEBLO – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

Following the instructions of our guide, we get ready for the start of the big day.

After breakfast we will set off to Machu Picchu (up and down by bus if you wish) following the instructions of our guide.

We will walk 2 hours until we arrive at the entrance gate of Machu Picchu where we will introduce ourselves to start the Machu Picchu guided tour. We will have a 3 hour tour according to the assigned walking tour, visiting the most important palaces and temples.

After the visit, you will have the opportunity to visit Huaynapicchu or Machu Picchu mountain (prior reservation). After the visit, return to Machu Picchu Pueblo to have lunch and wait for the departure time of the train to Ollantaytambo and transport by bus to Cusco, arrival time depending on the train schedule and entrance fee to Machu Picchu.
