Itinerary
Day: 01 Pick up airport – free day.
Upon arrival at the airport in Cusco, our staff will be waiting to take you to the hotel and give you the complete itinerary of our program Sacred valley and Inca Trail 6 days .
Day: 02 Cusco – Sacred Valley - Ollantaytambo
At 6:30 a.m. we will start picking up our passengers from their hotels in Cusco, and then travel to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
At 40 minutes away is the archaeological center of Chinchero, where we will have our first stop and visit with our guides. After exploring for 30 minutes we will continue in our tourist transportation to the archaeological center of Moray, whose platforms built in a gigantic hole will make us imagine the type of mechanism used.
We will continue our visit to the salt mines or Salineras, which since ancient times continue to produce salt, after the visit we will continue to Urubamba where a delicious lunch awaits us, rest for 40 minutes.
We will continue our excursion through the sacred valley until we arrive to Ollantaytambo the bastion of the Inca empire, after about 40 minutes of visit we will travel to our hotel in Ollantaytambo where we will overnight to start the next day our hike to the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
Day: 03 Ollantaytambo – Km 82 – Hatunchaca – Ayapata
At 4:30 a.m. our guide will pass by your hotel to pick up you and travel to Km 82, it will be a 3-hour trip from Cusco to Piscakucho (KM 82), from here we will start our 4-day Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu. At approximately 8:00 am, we will meet our chef, who will be in charge of preparing the best dishes; our porters, who will be in charge of carrying all our camping equipment, as well as our personal equipment; and our professional guide, who will begin with the necessary indications and recommendations to start our great adventure on the Inca Trail. Already with all our trekking equipment we will go to the control gate with our passport to enter and start our first trekking route. We will start with a relatively easy walk of 2 hours until we reach Patallacta, the first archaeological park that we will visit, then we will continue for 2 hours until we reach Hatuncancha, where our team will be waiting for us with a great lunch. After lunch and a rest we will continue the 2 hour hike to Ayapata, our first camp, where we will arrive at about 5:00 pm, where we will find your tent set up with some hot drinks and dinner.

Day: 04 Ayapata - Pass Of The Dead Woman - Chaquicocha
In the morning we will wake up very early to enjoy a hot drink in your tent, and after enjoying a healthy breakfast we will start the most challenging trek of the 4 day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. We will begin with a 4 hour hike to reach the Warmi Wañuska Pass (4215 m / 13829 ft), or Dead Woman, the highest point of our entire journey, after enjoying the beautiful views accompanied by a hot drink of Coca tea, we will begin the 2 hour descent to reach the valley of Pacaymayu, where our second lunch awaits us. Continuing our hike of 2 hours to reach the second mountain Runqurakay Pass (4000 m / 13123 masl), on the way we can explore 2 archaeological sites; Runqurakay and Sayacmarca, then continue until we reach our second camp in Chaquicocha or Dry Lake (3600 m / 11811 ft), from where we can admire a beautiful sunset and after dinner to observe the stars and constellations.

Day: 05 Chaquicocha - Intipata - Wiñaywayna
After a night’s rest at our campsite, we will wake up to have breakfast and continue our Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, this trek will be easier and more relaxed, here we can enjoy various ecosystems, as well as the cloud forest and you can admire a panoramic view of the Salkantay Mountain the second highest peak of Cusco, On our 5 hour hike to our third camp we will visit two archaeological sites: Phuyupatamarka and Intipata, in Intipata we will rest to enjoy a magical environment, we will arrive to our camp for lunch and then enjoy the afternoon to relax and enjoy the beautiful landscapes that surround our Wiñaywayna camp, we will have afternoon tea and a delicious dinner. Our cook will delight us with a surprise for the goodbye of our last day of camp.

Day: 06 Inti Punku - Explore Machu Picchu - Cusco
After 3 nights camping and trekking, this day we will feel satisfied to enjoy one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world Machu Picchu. Very early at 5:30 am we will wake up to have our breakfast and start our last trek to the Inti Punku, from where we can appreciate a beautiful and panoramic view of Machu Picchu, we will begin the descent to Machu Picchu, which we can explore with our guide, After 2 hours of visiting the Inca citadel our guide will give us the time to visit Huayna Picchu (previous reservation), then we will take our bus to Machu Picchu Pueblo, where we can enjoy its thermal baths, have lunch and wait for the departure of the train to Ollantaytambo. 30 minutes before we will be at Machu Picchu train station to take the train to Ollantaytambo, where our transportation will be waiting for us to take us to the city of Cusco and drop us off at our accommodation.
