The Mountain of Seven Colors, known as Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca, is an amazing natural spectacle located in the Cusco region of Peru. This geological wonder, which for centuries was hidden under a blanket of snow, has become one of the most popular destinations for adventurous travelers.
Located more than 5,000 masl in the Vilcanota mountain range, Vinicunca owes its name to the bands of vibrant colors that cross its surface, created by the presence of minerals and sediments. From deep red to emerald green to bright yellow, the mountain landscape looks like something out of a dream.
To reach this incredible place, visitors usually embark on a hike of approximately 6 kilometers from the nearest starting point. Along the way, one can enjoy breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, deep valleys and llamas grazing high above.

Itinerary
Day: 01: Rainbow Mountain Trek
Tour Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca Perú
Our day begins with the pick up from your hotel at 4:30 am, then we will take the bus that will take us to the south of Cusco, a journey of about 2 hours to reach Cusipata to take the detour to the Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca.
A few minutes from Cusipata, is the restaurant where breakfast awaits us, then continue 1 hour drive to the community of Pampachiri where we leave our mobility to start our hike to the Rainbow Mountain trek, optionally we can take horses to reach the Vinicunca mountain range.
After 1 hour and a half of walking, we will arrive to the top of the mountain to observe a beautiful landscape that will leave us astonished and to be able to take pictures of cover with a magnificent view of the Rainbow Mountain.
After contemplating the beauty of the Rainbow Mountain for about 40 minutes and the landscapes surrounded by mountains and inter-Andean valleys, we will begin the descent to where our tourist transport is waiting for us, finally we will go to the restaurant where a delicious lunch will be waiting for us.
At the end of lunch and a short rest we will board our tourist transport that will take us back to Cusco, arrival approx. 5:00 pm.
